Hi all,
In my opinion both formats could be used in IPOL, although my experience
is that SVG files can be embedded into a web page and rendered by the
browser, while PDF files don't show.

To test it, I created an example web at:
http://dev.ipol.im/~colom/images/images.html

The SVG shows. PDF don't.
