In my Ubuntu 13.04 is located somewhere else:
./i386-linux-gnu/libpng12.a
./i386-linux-gnu/libpng.so
./i386-linux-gnu/libpng.so.3
./i386-linux-gnu/libpng12.so
./i386-linux-gnu/libpng.a
Headers:
/usr/include/png.h
/usr/include/libpng12/png.h
/usr/lib/syslinux/com32/include/png.h
And /usr/lib/x86_64-linux-gnu doesn't exist.
Maybe it's only for 64 bits?
